Case Study of the Collaboration Between ernestrust and Green Dream Boats

The beginning of this story had nothing to do with water. There were no waves reflecting light, no engine hum, and no gentle rocking to soothe the senses. Instead, there was precision, experience, and wood – a material that, in the hands of master carpenters, can take forms far beyond traditional furniture.

At ernestrust, we have been crafting custom kitchens and wardrobes for years. We know how to work with wood to unlock its full potential.

But this project was different. A challenge that intrigued us.

Where others see barriers, we see possibilities.

When Green Dream Boats, a manufacturer of luxury solar boats, invited us to collaborate on their latest model, MEVA 2.0, we knew one thing: this would not be an ordinary project.

A premium-class boat, powered by the sun, designed with silence, elegance, and sustainable luxury in mind. A private water retreat where everything must be perfect – both in function and aesthetics.

Our task was to create a dashboard that would impress every sailing enthusiast, along with a panel between the seats. This is a key element of the space – immediately visible, exposed to water, sun, and moisture.

Every millimeter had to be perfected, every surface protected, and every line thoughtfully designed.

Carpentry craftsmanship that sets new industry standards.

The noble stained walnut not only had to be visually appealing but also resistant to atmospheric conditions. There is no room for compromise when it comes to luxury.

But luxury doesn’t happen by chance. It is a process that values precision, patience, and understanding of materials.

Selecting the right finish was a multi-stage process – we created over a dozen samples, from which the owners of Green Dream Boats chose the one perfect match. The wood’s shade had to harmonize with the blue of the water, highlight the cockpit’s lines, and be resistant to UV radiation. A warm, deep brown with a subtle satin finish is the essence of wooden beauty on a boat.

The final design was completed with steel accents, adding a refined, timeless character to the whole.

MEVA 2.0 is not just a boat – it is a moving gallery of the finest aesthetic, craftsmanship, and technological solutions.

Its debut at the Poland Boat Show 2024 ended with an award in the “Trade Show Premieres” category. This was no coincidence.

What we do every day in kitchens and interiors has also found its place in a space that until recently seemed distant.
