Eterna kitchen – secrets and avant-garde classics

Worktops cluttered with appliances have disappeared from the kitchen.

But the needs have not disappeared.

Eterna responds to both facts at once: it organises the space and leaves room for rituals. It is a premium kitchen where Calacatta Viola adds artistic chic, and hidden features – a Thermomix lift, a retractable coffee corner and a small pantry – work in harmony with the aesthetics. In the text, you will see how the ‘scenography of the day’ works in Eterna, why stone with a strong pattern was included in the showroom display at the new ernestrust salon, and what worktop to choose for your kitchen: marble, quartzite or granite.

1. ERNESTRUST ETERNA – PARISIAN ELEGANCE IN PREMIUM KITCHENS

There are kitchens that stick in your memory and are anything but ordinary. The new Eterna collection is one such design.

It was designed in the spirit of transitional elegance. With references to neoclassicism, Parisian stucco and contemporary minimalism.

The references to richer ornamentation are deliberate but subtle – elegance filtered through contemporary sensibilities. Veneer without flashy grain patterns and hidden handles maintain clean lines, while technical areas remain within reach but do not dominate the view.

This is thanks to the use of three solutions that our customers love – a Thermomix lift hidden in a stone worktop, a hidden coffee corner with fronts hidden in the furniture, and a pantry behind the furniture.

Can you find the entrance to it?

The background is formed by tall cabinets with light, smooth fronts and fashionable, thin frames: they calm the composition, organise the wall and leave the stone to take centre stage. But there is also a hidden surprise. You can read about it in the paragraph about the pantry.

This is a premium kitchen with soft geometry (rounded edges) and the strong character of stone – orderly, sensual, built on proportions and materials that set the tone for the entire interior. And importantly, it is custom-made furniture. You can adapt it to your space with designers at ernestrust showrooms.

2. THERMOMIX LIFT. MORE THAN JUST A GADGET.

There are appliances that have changed the way we cook. And there are kitchens that can handle them with class.

This is one of the most common questions when designing a kitchen – where to put the Thermomix? How to hide it? But so that it is always ‘at hand’?

In Eterna furniture, and in many other projects we carry out, the Thermomix disappears under the worktop. The mechanism is quiet and smooth, and the appliance rises to work and sinks back down without having to be moved. When closed, the stone slab creates a uniform surface again.

We gain:

  • more workspace,
  • visual order,
  • and the pleasure of interacting with technology that does not disturb the aesthetics of the interior.

This is a solution that perfectionists will love.

3. HIDDEN WORKTOP OR COFFEE CORNER

An area for coffee lovers, but also for people who love rituals and like order.

The year 2025 brought a trend for kitchens in which secret work areas behind hidden fronts are only revealed to household members when necessary.

Fittings with a hidden coffee corner are one of those solutions that not only look good, but also respond to the lifestyle of contemporary users.

Behind the veneered fronts, which are hidden deep inside the furniture, there is a compact barista area: an espresso machine, cups, accessories and supplies. The steel and marble background creates a small stage for the daily ritual.

This element has become one of the most frequently chosen solutions in ernestrust designs – from Eterna to other collections.

This is a kitchen that understands the needs of its users, which is why it appears so often in premium designs in 2025.

4. Pantry – small but full of character.

Usually closed. Usually hidden. Overlooked in aesthetic analysis.

This time it’s different.

The small pantry in Eterna attracts attention with its matte red colour, noble finish and scenographic shelf lighting. The worktop is made of quartz sinter with a graphic pattern – more resistant than marble.

This shows that even functional workspaces can be elegant. Playing with colour and light is one thing. But order and pace of work are also planned flawlessly here: everything you need is close at hand and logically arranged.

5. Which stone to choose for the kitchen?

The Eterna worktop is a nod to customers who are not afraid of expressive materials.

And who like to know the trends, and even stay ahead of them.

Calacatta Viola, Patagonia, Rosso Francia — these are stones with strong veining, unique patterns and great expressiveness. They cease to be an accessory and become the starting point for entire projects.

The nobility of natural materials with a touch of artistic flair.

This is what awaits us in the second half of 2025 and in 2026.

Calacatta Viola marble was used in Eterna furniture.

In Julia Wieniawa’s kitchen, Rosso Francia marble was also used as:

  • a worktop,
  • wall cladding,
  • a cantilevered stone shelf.

It is a stone that you remember immediately. And you cannot confuse it with any other.

Which kitchen worktop should you choose? Marble, quartzite or granite?

This question comes up in every design conversation.

Marble in the kitchen – noble, timeless, ages beautifully, but requires impregnation and careful use. Calacatta Viola impresses with its veining, but marble can discolour after contact with wine or coffee, so care and protection are essential.

Quartzite (quartzite worktop) – a natural metamorphic rock, highly resistant to stains, temperature and scratches; it often combines expressive patterns with practicality for everyday use (e.g. Patagonia).

Granite (granite worktop)durable and predictable in use, naturally less absorbent than marble, withstands intensive work and frequent cooking well.

The choice is not simply a matter of ‘better or worse’. At Eterna, the worktop was a conscious choice: if the priority is the pattern and aura of the stone, then marble is the way to go. If everyday durability is more important, then quartzite or granite is the better option. The form of the kitchen and the lifestyle of the household members are the deciding factors here.

Eterna is not just a kitchen.
It is a sign that materials, functions and emotions can work together.
And that a design can be beautiful, practical and original at the same time.

You can see this for yourself. You will find the Eterna kitchen in the Ernestrust showroom in Katowice (MaxFliz building, al. Roździeńskiego 191).
