Monolite. Monolite lightness,
seamless perfection
.

Monolite is a furniture board finishing technology patented by ernestrust®, combining the solidity of monolith with the lightness and functionality of modern materials.

Thanks to its seamless edge, the board takes on the appearance of a monolith, eliminating visible joints and typical problems found in traditional solutions. The effect of full varnishing, while allowing for efficient mass production.

Why Monolite?

Advantage over classic glued edgebanding

No visible joints

Traditional glued edging does not ensure continuity between surfaces, which means that the edges can stand out visually from the rest of the surface. Monolite eliminates this problem, ensuring a uniform appearance across the entire front.

No dirt deposition in joints

In traditional fronts, dirt accumulates at the junction of the surface and the glued edge, which becomes increasingly visible after years of use. This affects not only the aesthetics but also the durability of the furniture. In Monolite, the joints are invisible, so the fronts remain clean and elegant for many years.

Seamless edge technology

The effect of lacquering without its drawbacks: thanks to Monolite, it is possible to obtain fronts covered with acrylic laminate without visible joints, which gives the effect of full lacquering, while allowing for effective mass production.

Greater resistance to UV radiation

Lacquered fronts, especially light-colored ones, may change color over time due to UV radiation. Although acrylic may also change color slightly, this process is much slower than in the case of lacquer.

Lower paint wear

Monolite technology allows only the edges of the fronts to be coated, which reduces paint consumption by 90-95% compared to traditional coating of entire surfaces. This means lower consumption of paint materials, lower production costs, and a more environmentally friendly processing method.

Scratch resistance

The use of durable acrylic coatings makes Monolite fronts much more resistant to mechanical damage than traditional lacquered surfaces.

No problems with deformation of fronts

With traditionally lacquered fronts, a thick layer of lacquer can cause tension, leading to deformation and curvature. Monolite eliminates this problem, ensuring perfectly straight surfaces for many years.

Moisture resistance

In tests conducted, a sample with a glued edge completely submerged in water began to swell after just 6 hours, while Monolite remained intact for as long as 20 hours.

Easy replacement of fronts

Lacquered fronts are difficult to repair – replacement may result in differences in color and gloss between the new and old elements. Monolite eliminates this problem, as acrylic fronts can be replaced without worrying about differences in finish.

Monolite combines the solidity of monolith with the lightness and functionality of modern materials. The seamless finish ensures a monolithic appearance, durability, and aesthetics, making it ideal for any space.

It is the new standard in premium furniture – elegance, modernity, and unmatched quality.

Eco-friendly approach to modern design

Thanks to Monolite technology, we use only 5% to 10% of the varnish compared to full front varnishing, which significantly reduces the emission of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into the atmosphere. Lower material consumption also means less waste, lower energy consumption, and a reduced carbon footprint.

The durability of our fronts means that furniture lasts longer, and their easy replacement eliminates the need to dispose of entire sets, supporting more sustainable consumption. Monolite is not only about aesthetics and innovation, but also a conscious choice for the future of our planet.
